Alma Air is the Colombian seaplane airline connecting destinations across the Caribbean, Pacific, Amazon and inland regions where traditional airports do not reach. This is the complete guide to our 16 operational routes: origin cities, destinations, flight times and how seaplanes turn hours of travel into minutes.

How does an Alma Air seaplane work?

We operate Cessna Caravan amphibious aircraft, certified to land on calm waters (reservoirs, wide rivers, protected bays, marshes). Floats sit just 18 cm below the water with no impact on corals or marine life. Each flight exposes passengers to a maximum of 20-60 seconds of noise during takeoff and landing. We don't discharge fuel, oil or chemical waste into the water.

Colombian Caribbean

Cartagena – Barú Island — 22 minutes

Reach Barú Island from Cartagena in just 22 minutes by seaplane, landing right by Playa Blanca and the boutique hotels of the area. Skip the Pasacaballos road traffic and the ferry queues at Bodeguita. A premium option for 5-star hotel guests, private events, honeymoons and cruise passengers.

Barranquilla – Cartagena — 25 minutes

Connect Barranquilla with Cartagena in 25 minutes by seaplane. Replace the 2-hour drive on the Vía al Mar with a scenic flight over Bocas de Ceniza, Galerazamba and the Caribbean coast. Ideal for Atlántico-based executives with meetings in Cartagena and fast cruise connections.

Cartagena – Múcura Island — 28 minutes

Only 28 minutes separate Cartagena from Múcura Island in the San Bernardo archipelago. Fly directly over the Rosario Islands and land next to boutique hotels on the island, avoiding the 2-3 hour boat ride. Perfect for Punta Faro guests and premium Caribbean island experiences.
